    Default Alpinestar stunt leather jacket

What's everyones opinion on the stunt jacket? Buying my first jacket and like the stunt for the price but the leather looks softer and not as stiff as the other alpinestar jackets! Anybody else notice this

Sorry , can't help you. Even the Alpinestar web-site doesn't tell you the thickness of the leather, so you have to find out if it's only your imagination or not.

    From the web-site:
Constructed using soft, full grain leather with perforated panels, providing the rider with a strong durable product that offers superior levels of ventilation when required.

The Vancouver Bike Show is coming up in a couple weeks. Great opportunity to walk around and feel some leather.

Bike show coming up. Lots of time to check styles out.

Seems like a flashy pricey jacket for a first jacket to jam into the pavement many times as you start practicing stunts?

Maybe something dark, rugged, and soon-to-be ragged? :P YMMV

    Default Alpinestar Stunt Leather Jacket

thanks for the reply guys!!!! will be attending the show next week but just wanted to hear what others thought of the jacket. It is a 1.2-1.4 full grain leather jacket but it says it's a soft leather. Just not too excited about it being a "soft" leather jacket.

Don't be fooled by the term "soft", some manufacturers use Kangaroo leather, which is thin, soft and stronger than a cow's skin.

Thanks for the reply! Looking to picking one up after the trade show! Any suggestions that you had success with regarding black leather jackets without too much advertising and good quality full grain 1.2-1.4 mm thickness?!
