That lake froze over fast to make it safe enough! Didn't you mention that only last week that that was what you were waiting for?
Those roofing screws work just fine by the looks of it.

There is significantly less traction on the lake now! I had to move to pavement and use different tires..

Great pics Sam, especially the "flood rider". I hope it was not from the outhouse in the back.

Just a little bit.
We had a flood last year. It was the first day it was dry enuff to put my bike in it's shed. The shed is lower than the house. At 11 pm, I had just jumped out of the shower and the drains were making a funny noise. When we looked outside the river was running across our yard and the front street from an ice jam. I went to check the bike first thing and the shed ramp was gone, the water was two feet up the shed door and I was woried it was gonna float away. When I checked the bike the water was coming up to about an inch below the air cleaner. It quit rising at exactly that point. I could not push the bike outside cuz it would have submerged completly. I was like a mother hen pacing until I could get it out of there. I have a two testicle testiment as to how cold that water was! There is now a "high water mark" on my oil tank.

![]() But, on a more serious note, you probably put yourself in a potentially dangerous situation, being in that ice cold water.
