So the real peak was in 2005 and after that it went all down (hill); American, European as well as Asian brands.
(But not as bad as car sales.)

What happened is that before 2005 the market was not open for China, Korea and Hong kong bikes, now is inundated at really low prices, so new riders go for those brands now.

On an average bike sales are down 25%, do you really think that the Chinese, Korean and Hong Kong bikes have taken over ¼ of the market that fast?

Pretty much, remember this is worldwide, you go to any contry in South America, and they are more cheap chiniese bikes than other brands.
