I just wanted to get a thread going about drag racing. I hit as many events as I can over the summer.
This little 1460cc sporty ran a 12.3sec @ 108 mph in the 1/4 mile. We run it on street tires with no wheelie bar because that is how it runs on the street as a daily driver. There is a four race points series in Terrace. Kitimat has a 400 foot "Hillclimb" event on pavement that is really fun and unique. Houston,BC has the only 1/4 mile event this side of Ashcroft. This bike is a local favorite and has won the Houston event twice and taken the Terrace race and points series trophy once. Terrace also had a "Bike Wars" event this year. We qualified for the event running against laydowns, nitrous bikes, a Busa and a B-king. We had to spank a V-rod to do it. In the picture I am running about five grand in third gear at Houston. We need more bikes to run in the north!!!
![]() It's my only beef. Look what we have to race here. Sure, summer, three months of poor sledding eh?At least the motorcycle is in the correct place. That is a buddy on a 750 turbocharged sled on nitrous gaining fast.

Attachment 668 Yeeee haaaw! I got my big inch motor parts back today!!! and still nearly two weeks to get it together! Its hardly even a panic yet. Those big inch parts went from my shop to the machinist for a little sweetening. I got them back today! (again) My compression ratio just went from 10.2 to 10.8. if I did my math correctly. I will lock the doors and pull the curtains this long weekend and get to work on my sh!t! I have not gone for a ride on my street bike yet this year. (a little cheese pleeze!) I can hardly wait.
Wow, what a season! My apprentice came back to work after 10 months of motorcycle school in Fairview AB. |

Lite it up in the burnout box. This was a little practice run. We got rained out on the Saturday but the event went off well on Sunday.
