Any stories on how you got fooled at home or work? Who did you fool?

My girlfriend works for an international accountants office and every year, at the end of tax season, they take every employee and their spouses for a day of golf and a nice dinner at night.
This morning one of the manager sent an e-mail out to everybody revering to the tradition and explaining that unfortunately every golf course, in the Kamloops area, he had phoned was booked for "the weekend after tax season". He phoned around and looked at various other alternatives and the only thing available that night is the Lawn Bowling Club so, he managed to book two hours of bowling. But the facility is not large enough for all of us to have supper afterwards, so we will be lawn bowling and then everybody will be on their own for the evening.
Boooooh, disappointment!!!

People start signing up for the bowling (because this needs to be done ASAP), included my girlfriend and I.
An hour and a half later the following e-mail is sent around:

Sounds like you have a bike trip coming soon, let the Mrs. drive the clubs...

Yes, the Mrs. would have to "drive" for sure. I never take her for a bike ride, she is 6'2" so that wouldn't be very comfortable for her (knees behind the ears). It never looks good 2up on a sportbike. Besides that, I took off the passenger seat and foot pegs a long time ago.
