Harley anyone ???

I have a friend who is going to be looking at a used harley soon ( over winter), budget is around 9-10 grand ...........this will be his first road bike , he is older and will be taking a course in the spring along with my personalized parking lot training regime . Just putting word out in case someone here has one for sale or knows a good deal somewhere ( preferably lowermainland area ) fatboy or sportster seems to be his preference but all ideas welcome . thanks in advance .............come on global warming

I guess there is not a starters 250 CC Harley......
But "older" and, I assume, dirt bike experience (" his first road bike") will help.
I don't know about the "global warming" thing but, yeah, let Spring begin.

Actually , one of our local custom shops has Johnny Pag 300 cc bikes , 350 pounds , 65+ MPG , 5 -6 grand new ---- I am considering taking him to have a look , would be a cool starter bike for half the price .....

I wasn't going to try selling anything until summer but here it goes.

I have a 2006 sportster XL883c with less than 10,000 km. The bike is heavy but it's easy to get a strong foothold if he's starting, there's enough room for myself at 6' 200lb, and it follows a golden rule to stay away from 50+ hp for a first street bike. For less than a grand the parts for a 1200 conversion can be obtained if he gets bored.

2006 Harley-Davidson XL 883C Sportster 883C Custom

Compared with a regular sportster double seat, larger tank, forward controls, lowered. Added digital tach, windscreen, grips with throttle rocker, SE intake, cycleshack exhaust, jets, synthetic oil. New front avon storm tire stock rear. Second owner since 1500km. I have the bike parked in my basement with my ST on a battery tender under a cover with all the stock parts on the shelf.

I'm looking for around 8 grand.
